INDIA EXPORTS $47.98 MN OF MANGOES, LOGS 19% GROWTH IN EXPORT TO US

India’s export of its mangoes to the USA has especially seen a significant growth of 19 per cent in comparison to the previous fiscal year with shipments of 2043.60MT of Indian mangoes in the first frve months of the current fiscal.

Indian mangoes are capturing larger parts of the world with their flavour with the continued efforts of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry registering a significant export growth for the fruit. The first five months of the current fiscal (2023-24) has logged mango exports to the tune of USD 47.98 million, which is 19 per cent higher than the previous year's value of USD 40.33 million same period. This follows the significant increase in export of mangoes in 2022-23. In the season 2023, India exported mangoes to 41 countries by exploring new destinations such as Iran, Mauritius, Czech Republic and Nigeria.
