Enhanced electoral infrastructure, special provisions for senior citizens and physically challenged voters announced ahead of october elections

With the Haryana Assembly elections slated for October, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has completed a comprehensive review of preparations, ensuring robust arrangements to accommodate a record 2.01 crore voters including 95 lakh women. The latest electoral roll reveals a diverse and inclusive voter base, including over 10,000 centenarians.
In a meeting led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, it was disclosed that the final electoral roll, set to be published on August 27, includes 2.01 crore registered voters.
This comprises 1.06 crore males, 0.95 crore females, and more than 4.52 lakh first-time voters aged 18-19. Notably, the list features over 10,000 centenarians and includes 2.55 lakh voters aged 85 and above, alongside 1.5 lakh individuals with disabilities.
