Driven by a commitment to self-sustainable living, the women farmers of Chhattisgarh are redefining resilience and innovation in agriculture.
By embracing cutting-edge technologies like drones, these women have achieved remarkable milestones, transforming not only their lives but also the agricultural landscape of the state.
Chhattisgarh's pioneering Lakhpati Didi scheme is at the forefront of this transformation. Since its launch, the initiative has empowered 4.95 lakh rural women to achieve annual incomes of 1 lakh, earning them the title of Lakhpati Didis.
This impressive figure includes 76,084 women from Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) and other special categories, highlighting the scheme's inclusive nature.
One of the scheme's standout components is the Namo Drone Didi program, which integrates advanced technology with grassroots empowerment.
Under this pilot initiative, women are trained to operate agricultural drones for spraying nano fertilizers and pesticides.
