According to CRISIL's DRIP (Drought Resistant Index for Primary Agriculture) Index, nine states in India are currently facing pressure due to drought conditions. These states include Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. Additionally, the index highlights that seven major crops are also under pressure due to the drought situation. The DRIP Index assesses the impact of drought on agricultural production in different states and crops.
