Coal India and its subsidiary Western Coalfields have pin pointed four to five shuttered mines in the Chhindwara Pench region for establishing green projects, aiming for optimal asset utilization, stated Union Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena on Sunday. Speaking at the Western Coal Fields headquarters, Meena informed reporters that Coal India plans to implement integrated solar and pump storage projects on the de-coaled land where coal extraction has been completed.
