CM CHAUHAN TO PROVIDE 35% QUOTA FOR WOMEN IN GOVT JOBS

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced a 35 per cent reservation for women in police and various government positions, along with a 50 per cent w reservation for women in teaching roles.

The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a notification that grants a 35 per cent reservation for women in recruitment, with the exception of the Forest Department in the state. To implement this, the state government has made amendments to the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997. According to the notification, "Irrespective of the provisions in any service rules, 35 per cent of all positions in the state's service (excluding the Forest Department) will be reserved for women during direct recruitment, and this reservation will be applied horizontally and by compartments."
