Canal water to reach tail end after assessing farmer issues: Shruti Chaudhary

Haryana Women and Child Development and Irrigation and Water Resources Minister, Shruti Chaudhary directed the officers to ensure that the canal water reaches the tail end of the farmer's field as this will help farmers achieve good yields.

Shruti Chaudhary was presiding over a meeting with senior officers of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department here on Friday.

She said that the state government is committed to the welfare of farmers and has taken several decisions to support the farming community in Haryana.

The Minister directed the officers to visit each assembly constituency in every district of the state to identify and address the issues faced by farmers in the supply of canal water. Smt. Chaudhary further said that she will soon hold a meeting with the Superintending Engineer of the department in this regard. Additionally, she will be closely monitoring the progress of ongoing irrigation projects through an online portal to ensure their timely completion.
