Bajaj Finance surges 5% on strong Q3 AUM growth

Bajaj Finance witnessed surge in its shares during Thursday's trading session, following the disclosure to stock exchanges that its customer base as of 31 December 2023, increased to 8.04 crore from 6.60 crore on the corresponding day last year.

The company reported a sequential growth of 38.5 lakh in its customer franchise.
New loans secured in the December quarter demonstrated a 26 percent rise, reaching 98.6 lakh compared to 78.4 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The stock exhibited a 4.64 percent increase, reaching Rs 7,724.90 on the BSE, marking a 16 percent gain over the past year.
