Armed Forces Chiefs Brief President Murmu on Operation Sindoor

President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday met with the top military leadership of the country at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where she was briefed on Operation Sindoor, India's latest anti-terror operation launched in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

The high-level meeting was attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh, and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi.

During the interaction, President Murmu was apprised of the strategic strikes carried out by the Indian Armed Forces across the Line of Control. These strikes targeted nine terror hideouts located in deep areas within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

The coordinated military response came as a direct retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, which had claimed the lives of several Indian security personnel.
