Allocation for aid to foreign countries cut by 2.6%

Indi India has cut the overLall allocation for aid to foreign countries from Rs 6,005 crore in 2022-23 to Rs 5,848 crore in the forthcoming fiscal of 2023-24, a reduction of 2.6 per cent in the union budget for 20232024, which was presented by Finance Minister NirmalaSitharaman on February 1.
Some of the countries whose allocation has been reduced under this head include Bhutan, Afghanistan and Mauritius.
