Air India Flight safety Chief suspended by DGCA for one month

Rajeev Gupta, the head of flight safety for Tata Group-owned Air India, has been suspended for one month, the aviation authority DGCA announced on Thursday

The regulator’s team observed Air India on July 25 and 26 in the areas of internal audit, work to prevent accidents, and availability of necessary technical manpower. According to a DGCA release, the surveillance revealed flaws in the organization’s efforts to prevent accidents and the availability of the necessary technical manpower as stipulated in the approved Flight Safety Manual and the pertinent Civil Aviation Requirements.
