Abhinav Mathur from Something's Brewing speaks on India's Growing Coffee Culture

|March 07, 2025
As India's coffee culture evolves, the demand for high-quality brewing equipment is rising.
In conversation with The Daily Guardian, Abhinav Mathur, Founder & CEO of Something's Brewing, discusses the journey behind the challenges of manufacturing coffee equipment in India, and the country's shifting coffee landscape.
Developing Locally Engineered Coffee Equipment India has traditionally been a tea-drinking nation, with filter coffee remaining a regional favorite. Despite the rapid growth of specialty coffee, most professional brewing equipment has been designed with Western preferences in mind. Mathur explains that this gap in the market led to the creation of Bohne, a machine specifically engineered for Indian coffee habits while also aligning with global standards.
"What makes Bohne unique is its boiler-less, eco-friendly heating technology, which reduces electricity consumption by up to 90% compared to conventional machines. It offers a sustainable and efficient alternative for businesses and serious coffee enthusiasts," says Mathur.
