AAP, BJP clash over Chhath Puja ghats

Amid an ongoing political clash between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the establishment of Chhath Puja Ghats in Delhi, Chief Minister Atishi criticized the BJP on Monday for allegedly "obstructing preparations" for the festival, branding the party as "anti-Purvanchal."

Atishi accused the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) of halting preparations in a south Delhi locality, stating, "The suspension of Chhath puja by the BJP's DDA in Chirag Delhi reflects its anti-Purvanchal mentality."
She highlighted her government's efforts, claiming they have constructed over 1,000 ghats across the city to facilitate the celebrations.
