CM kickstarts paddy procurement drive with Rs 2,450 per quintal payout for farmers

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given farmers a major boost by launching a historic paddy procurement campaign across Jharkhand starting December 15.
The state government, prioritising farmers' welfare, has set up 783 procurement centers to ensure smooth operations statewide.Health, Food Supply and Disaster Management Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari has taken personal responsibility for the campaign, contacting ministers, MPs, and MLAs to urge their participation and reinforce farmers' morale. He instructed district supply officers to coordinate with local representatives to guarantee a proper and ceremonial launch at every center.
