Billions in kickbacks allegedly delivered to Zaldy Co - ICI
An interim report by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) has revealed that around P22 billion up to P28 billion in alleged kickbacks-delivered in suitcases of cash-were handed to former Ako Bicol party-list representative Zaldy Co between 2022 and 2025.
The staggering amount, reportedly tied to anomalous and "ghost" flood control projects, was based on testimony from former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan 1st District engineers Henry Alcantara and Brice Hernandez.
Both admitted their involvement in the scheme during ICI hearings.
According to the report, multiple cash deliveries were made to Co's penthouse at Shangri-La The Fort and his residence in Valle Verde 6, Pasig City.
