MARTINS BAGGED A BRACE FOR DORKING BEFORE MANN NETTED A LATE EQUALISER

Wanderers finish with thriller

DORKING Wanderers Women completed their 2024-25 London & South East Premier Division campaign with a six-goal thriller last Tuesday, drawing 3-3 with Ebbsfleet United.

Amongst a number of early offside calls for both sides, Megan Clapinson and Sandy Martins went closest to opening the scoring for the hosts, the latter denied with a save by Fleet goalkeeper Cara Davies prior to seeing a deflected effort cleared off the goal line.

Hollie Theobald drove a low shot fractionally wide of the post for the vistors just before Dorking did manage to open the scoring on 16 minutes.

Clapinson’s corner ball from the right headed towards goal by Charlotte Crook, Davies not quite able to hold onto the ball and striker Martins quick to pounce and guide it over the line from close range.
