Curti and Coughler confirm return to the ice at Spectrum

GUILDFORD Flames defenceman Charlie Curti has agreed terms for a second season under Spectrum lights.

After a year at Belfast Giants, the 6ft American transferred to Flames early last term, competing in 55 games and scoring eight goals and 29 points.

Curti, 30, from Mound, Minnesota, spent 2022-2023 with ECHL Toledo Walleye, where he had 25 points from eight goals and 17 assists in 39 starts while earning a three-game call up to AHL Grand Rapids Griffins ahead of his EIHL debut.

He started his career at NCAA Yale University, where he played 110 games over four seasons from 2015 to 2019, collecting nine goals and 37 points, before making his pro debut with 31 points at ECHL Adirondack Thunder in 2019-2020, before following up with a move to Rapid City Rush the very next term.

In 150 ECHL appearances, he accumulated 24 goals and 72 points.
