Sunderland Echo
|November 05, 2025
William Walton, chairman of Whitburn Table Tennis Club, saw his Sunderland Table Tennis Division One A side claim a valuable 6-4 victory at high-flying Mount Centurions.
The Seasiders fielded a young team for the trip to Gateshead and Sami Osman took all three sets against the home side's Leo Conn, Charlie Mouzon and Dan Foster.
Charl Myburgh won 3-2 against Conn and then combined with Osman to take the doubles leg 3-1. Dorian Cheung got past Mouzon in five tight ends to seal the victory which takes Whitburn fourth in the table.
Elsewhere, Unionist A travelled to Brandon Outlaws and won 7-3, Richard Wilson starring for the visitors. St Gabriel's West were held 5-5 at home to Old England Legends.
