No more delays on PO inquiry

Sunderland Echo

|

July 29, 2025

Volume I of the Post Office inquiry chaired by Sir Wyn Williams is devoted to the human impact of the scandalous behaviour of senior and less senior PO employees and Government ministers during the so-called Horizon affair.

It reveals a deliberate strategy of cover-up, lies and an assumption of guilt without evidence over decades. It is one of the worst ever UK examples of miscarriage of justice.

Vol. 2 due out shortly will apportion blame and hopefully name those who should face criminal charges, and after due process spend time in an HMP.
