Newcastle's interest in £25m man as Chelsea eye new defender

The latest Premier League transfer rumours include Newcastle, Tottenham, Chelsea and Brighton
According to the Daily Telegraph's John Percy, Newcastle hold a "strong interest" in Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
That may concern Tottenham Hotspur, another team heavily linked with the Moroccan in recent days, with the Times among the outlets saying he remains an option as they work to find a replacement for the injured James Maddison.
As Percy notes, El Khannouss has a release clause in his Leicester contract and, depending on which reports you believe, it's in the £20m-£25m range.
