Le Bris says half-time 'tweaks' made the difference against the Hammers

Régis Le Bris has praised his Sunderland players for their superb Premier League opening-day win over West Ham United - but insists they will stay humbled for the challenges ahead.

The Black Cats started Saturday's match at the Stadium of Light well and though West Ham impressed in the latter stages of the first half, Sunderland responded superbly after the break and were deserving of their win.

Eliezer Mayenda opened the scoring with a 61st-minute header, a towering effort then matched by Dan Ballard 12 minutes later.

Substitute Wilson Isidor wrapped things up with a sublime strike from the edge of the box two minutes into added time, leaving Sunderland temporarily top of the fledgling Premier League table.

Le Bris-who started EIGHT new signings in his lineup - was impressed with how his players took on his halftime tweaks but said the mood in the dressing room was clear at full time.
