Communities can connect to nature thanks to funding

Disadvantaged communities can connect with nature thanks to over £300k of funding from the National Lottery.

City of Nature Sunderland, a community programme benefiting more than 3,500 people, is to receive £326,543 over three years from the National Lottery Community Fund.

The money will be used to provide a roving environmental hub and workshops, which will visit communities across the city providing practical environmental activities promoting sustainability, well-being, and community empowerment.
