KAIZER Chiefs were held to a goalless draw by Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
Amakhosi’s mission to cement their place in the top eight took a knock as they remained in eighth spot with five games of the season to go.
The Chilli Boys also remained in ninth spot but reached the 30 points mark and extended their unbeaten streak to four games.
Having pulled off a miraculous second-half comeback against Mamelodi Sundowns in the last match,all eyes were on Chiefs to build on that momentum in search of a top-eight place. Head coach Nabi Nasreddine made two changes to his starting 11 as Zitha Kwinika made his first start of the season in place of the absent Given Msimango, while Tashreeq Morris replaced Glody Lilepo.
