Celebs who travelled the world in style in 2025

From Paris to Bali, SA celebrities have been hopping from destination to destination, living the jetset life. From solo trips to couples getaways to family vacations, our celebrities showed that the best way to live is to catch flights and enjoy precious moments with loved ones.

As we count down to the New Year, possibly filled with more exciting adventures, here is a recap of Mzansi’s celebs who gave us travel envy with their escapades.

Anele Mdoda has had a whirlwind year filled with love and travel.

In April, she tied the knot with Bonelela Buzza James Mgudlwa in a beautiful traditional ceremony. Following the wedding, Mdoda was whisked away to Chintsa Bay in the Eastern Cape for a beach retreat with her bridal entourage.

She shared stunning images on X, showcasing her bridesmaids soaking up the sun and enjoying the ocean views.

But the adventures didn’t stop there.

The couple attended the 2025 UEFA Men’s Champions League final in Munich, Germany, where they revelled in the electric atmosphere of the event.

Her social media posts from her trips were filled with excitement, and her followers were also treated to glimpses of the couple’s family retreat and luxurious stay at the Royal Livingstone by Anantara, located near the breathtaking Victoria Falls.

In addition to these glamorous getaways, Mdoda and her Mgudlwa enjoyed a tranquil escape to Diani Beach in Kenya, where they indulged in a luxurious safari.

Her ability to blend romance with adventure has made her a standout figure in the travel scene this year.

South African model Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni and her husband, Dr Musa Mthombeni, have also been busy travelling this year, together and separately.

In her travels, Liesl has showcased her impeccable style and love for adventure. Her recent girls’ trip to Paris was nothing short of enchanting.
