HARTLEPOOL United have praised the impact made by interim manager Nicky Featherstone - but have stressed they are still working to appoint a permanent successor to former boss Simon Grayson.

Former Sunderland and Leeds United manager Grayson parted company with Pools just over a month ago and Featherstone has overseen an upturn in form that has taken his side to within five points of the National League playoff places.
Several managers have been linked with the vacancy and former Pools midfielder Chris Beech became the latest name to be suggested - and he admitted he would be tempted by a potential return to the dugout despite stopping short of naming his old club as a possible destination.
