THE Tour de France brought unforgettable scenes and a £100m boost to the regional economy when it came to Yorkshire in 2014.
The peloton rides up Main Street as stage two of the Tour de France passes through Haworth, Yorkshire in 2014
Now there are hopes for similar scenes in 2027 when the Tour de France, and its female counterpart, Tour de France Femmes avec Swift, come to various parts of the North.
The Tour's initial stage will finish in Carlisle before a second day’s racing takes the cyclists from Keswick to Liverpool via places including Windermere, Lancaster, Chorley and Blackburn.
