TIELEMANS NOD DONE WITH CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BID

- By Steve Bates

Youri's head for heights

CLASSY Youri Tielemans grabbed a priceless winner for Aston Villa - but Unai Emery's stars put their fans through the wringer again.

As if Villa nerves aren't shredded enough after falling out of the Champions League places and suffering a shocking FA Cup semi-final defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, this was another trial for their faithful.

For after taking an early lead, stuttering Villa failed to finish off a Europe-chasing Fulham side down to 10 men for the last 16 minutes after injury to final substitute Harrison Reed - who were still pressing for an equaliser when the final whistle blew.

When the board showed eight minutes of stoppage time, Villa Park groaned in dismay with unbearable tension gripping fans fearful that the season might end in nothing but regret.
