THE scandal-hit BBC is cracking down on four and six-legged pests as well as the two-legged variety.

As sources revealed on-air staff will be spoken to about expected behaviour, it emerged there have been nearly 50 complaints about vermin and bugs at the BBC's London studios.

The corporation's get-tough approach with staff follows a damning review in the wake of news host Huw Edwards’ suspended jail sentence last year for making indecent images of children.
