Hunter killed elephant to use as 'bait' for lion

- BY NADA FARHOUD Environment Editor

Beyond belief

A PROLIFIC British trophy hunter has boasted about his bloodthirsty exploits helping clients to shoot elephants, hippos and lions.

Robin Hurt features on a list of the world's most notorious hunters named in a new book published this week.

It is being released by campaigners to mark the 10th anniversary of the infamous slaughter of Cecil the lion by an American dentist.

The killing of the 13-year-old beast and tourist favourite in Zimbabwe sparked outrage and debate about trophy hunting worldwide.

It sparked a Mirror campaign to ban trophy hunting and government pledges of new laws to do so - but the practice is still legal.
