RAISE A GLASS TO PUB'S HISTORIC HAT-TRICK AS CAMRA'S BEST BOOZER

The Tamworth Tap's winning team

And for the third consecutive year, the Tamworth Tap has been named the very best boozer in the UK a treble that has never been seen before in CAMRA's history.

The Market Street pub is adding the 2025 title to a shelf heavy-laden with prizes, both regional and national, from 2024 and 2023.

CAMRA started its Pub of the Year competition back in 1988, a high honour given only to the finest pubs that demonstrate excellence in judging categories including atmosphere, decor, welcome, service, inclusivity and overall impression.

Most of all, CAMRA judges pubs based on its craft beer, real cider and perry offering.

Thousands of pubs are in the running, with Tamworth Tap coming out on top thanks, in part, to its selection of eight cask beers from local and national brewers, cider, gin, wine and bottled beers.

The pub is set in a 16th-century shop on market street and its courtyard beer terrace has one of the most enviable views of any boozer the turrets of Tamworth Castle.
