THESE heart-warming pictures show cygnets hitching a lift on their mother’s back as they glide across a Midland lake.

Five of the fluffy siblings took a break from swimming and scrambled between their mother’s wings.
The adorable cygnets then snuggled together as they travelled across the water, while one of the babies struggled to keep up.
The grey cygnet can be seen desperately paddling behind its mother before finally clambering onto her broad winged back.
