THELIN'S READY FOR EURO RACE

Aberdeen will find out tomorrow who they will face in the Europa League playoffs.

Thelin is no stranger to European competition after leading old club Elfsborg into battle.

That gave him the opportunity to lock horns with the likes of Liverpool boss Arne Slot, who was at Feyenoord at the time.

Aberdeen could face the likes of PAOK, Young Boys, Ferencvaros, Copenhagen or Legia Warsaw.

They could also face Panathinaikos, who were beaten by Rangers in the Champions League qualifiers, or Midtjylland, fresh from beating Hibs.

The Swede said: “I haven't looked at it yet.

“It’s impossible to know who it's going to be but it's going to be exciting to see who were going to play.”

Thelin took on Slot back in 2020.

Elfsborg won 3-1 at home but lost the Europa Conference League second leg qualifier 5-0 in the Netherlands to Feyenoord who were only pipped in the final by Roma.
