Livi’s Tait would love to follow in Scotland pal Lennon’s path and make the big time
LENNON MILLER has taken a giant leap into Serie A with the Little Zebras.
But former Scotland teammate Macaulay Tait insists a short step with the Livi Lions is the best place to get his own career roaring.
Tait won his first Under-19 cap as a late substitute for Miller in a Euro qualifier against Italy last year.
That game was played in Lignano — just a stone's throw from Udinese, the club teen star Miller joined in a record-breaking £4.75million move from Motherwell last week.
Tait reckons the success of Billy Gilmour, Lewis Ferguson, Scott McTominay and Josh Doig in Serie A has opened Scottish players’ eyes to new horizons.
And he expects Fir Park wonderkid Miller to flourish in northern Italy too.
But the Hearts loanee knows he’ best placed to continue his own growth under David Martindale in West Lothian.
