Findlay vows to shine for Del

- BY DARREN JOHNSTONE

STUART FINDLAY would always have been tempted by a move to Hearts due to the size of the club.

But the defender admits he would have to be mad to turn down continuing his working relationship with Derek McInnes, given the impact the gaffer's had on his career.

As soon as the ink dried on McInnes' contract as boss back in May, he made Findlay one his signing priorities.

Findlay became a rock in the Killie defence in the two years he had under McInnes on loan from Oxford United.

And McInnes' loyalty means more to the 29-year-old following false dawns at both Oxford and MLS side Philadelphia Union.

The Jambos kickoff the new league season against Aberdeen tomorrow and Findlay said: "It's absolutely massive for me to be working with the manager.

"I'm first to admit that over the last couple of years I've had big moves to America and Oxford.
