PER CONTRA (4.00) can enjoy a well-deserved York success on the last Sunday Series fixture of 2025.

The fixture is very competitive and this can be the day when the gelding gets to land the spoils again after some near-misses.

The four-year-old scored three times for Ollie Sangster and hasn't dropped the levels for Tim Easterby.

Per Contra finished behind a couple of decent rivals in the Racing League at Newcastle before a narrow loss over course and distance. Easterby's charge looked good to end the Ebor meeting with a win only to be piped by Team Arlary's Dain Ma Nut In.
