JOE BEVAN says swapping Albion Rovers in the Lowland League for Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the Premier League was a big shock to his system.

The winger made the switch down south in 2024 for a five-figure fee.

After a year playing for the Clarets’ Under-21s he was sent out on loan to Carlisle United for the second half of last season.

Now Bevan has been snapped up by Dundee on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

And he’s determined to show the club’s fans what he learned under former Manchester City and Belgium legend Kompany, who is now in charge at Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old said: “Vincent Kompany was the manager when I went down to Burnley.

“I didn’t look at it as being too mental when I first went down there but looking back a year on, it was different!

“I just tried to take everything in my stride and put everything into it, especially the times when you get to train with the first team.

“He's a really good coach and when he left, people still expected him to go on to big things.
