It's that time .. let's risk it for a biscuit

AS IF by magic, tomorrow is December and so begins the official countdown to Christmas.

Forget Black Friday and stir-up Sunday - the only time I start really thinking about the big day is December 1.

I have bought a new tree this year and I am having people for Christmas dinner for the first time in a quarter of a century too.

There will just be five of us but that's still reason enough to get ahead on the cooking.
