And the Bairns CEO claims if those outfits profiting from playing in Europe take a slightly smaller slice of the SPFL prize money pie as well, it could be a lifesaver in the lower leagues.
He said: "The only way to get meaningful change is if clubs are willing to give something up."
More than four-fifths of the SPFL prize pot is divvied up between the Premiership's top 12 on a sliding scale.
