Devastated Erika vows to continue far-right activist husband's work

'Cries of this widow will echo around the world'

THE wife of assassinated Charlie Kirk has vowed to continue his movement.

She told his supporters, "the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry".

Speaking for the first time since her husband was gunned down at Utah Valley University last week, the 36-year-old spoke from inside Turning Point USA's headquarters.

She broke her silence just hours after Tyler Robinson, 22, from Washington, Utah, was arrested on suspicion of carrying out the killing.

Police say he scaled a building overlooking the spot in Orem where Kirk was speaking and fired a single shot from 200 yards away.

The bullet fatally struck the activist in the neck.

Robinson's father turned him in to the police on Thursday night.
