KING Charles and David Beckham "compared beekeeping tips" as the former England captain was named an ambassador for the King's Foundation.
In photos released to mark yesterday's announcement, the pair are pictured smiling and joking on the doorstep of royal residence Highgrove, while others show the former footballer trying his hand at carpentry in front of foundation students taking part in woodworking courses at the Snowdon School of Furniture.
It comes as speculation over whether Beckham will receive a knighthood from His Majesty continues to swirl. He received an OBE in the Queen's Birthday
Honours List in 2003 but has been snubbed since.
