Sick 'Hitler' emails sent to synagogue

Leaders at the synagogue, who did not want to identify it, said that they have never experienced as much antisemitism as they have since the attacks by Hamas in Israel on October 7.

It has led to them boosting security patrols, vetting certain new members who arouse suspicions, and frequently contacting police.

The shocking revelations come as the Community Security Trust charity, which supports Jewish communities, said that it received an extra £3million of funding to cover increased security patrols following the Hamas raids until the end of 2023.

CST revealed last week that it recorded 4,103 instances of antisemitism last year, up from 1,662 in 2022.

A spokeswoman at the synagogue, which is based in the London area, said: "We have had more antisemitic emails and phone calls since October 7 than in the 12 years I have been here.
