GEMMA JONES discovers that there's a whole lot more to Manchester than football, Christmas markets and Oasis during an action-packed stay

CLASSY Native's room with a view
Being a Northern girl, I am no stranger to Manchester. But while I often go for the odd gig or visit to the Christmas markets, I have never really had a chance to explore what the city truly has to offer. So when I was given the opportunity to try out a cool new hotel, some out-of-the-ordinary activities and one of the city's best food spots, I simply had to jump at the chance.
My friend and I were focusing on the Piccadilly area - staying at Native hotel, relaxing at The Good Sauna, practicing our swing at Pitch and filling our bellies at Freight Island. Our first stop was the hotel to quickly drop off our bags and get our bearings, just a two-minute walk from Piccadilly Station.
Native Manchester is set in the iconic Ducie Street Warehouse and seems to be a go-to place for a social buzz. Downstairs is home to a bar, deli, cinema, terrace and even features BLOK fitness classes.
