Monty: Jobs for weekend are the 'bane of my life!'
Sunday Express
|January 26, 2025
GARDENERS' World presenter Monty Don has revealed how filming the most popular part of his BBC show is "the bane of his life".
Every Friday night, there is a slot called Jobs for the Weekend.
This is when the green-fingered perennial favourite gives tips on what viewers should be doing in their gardens in the coming days, and it is a huge hit with fans.
But the 69-year-old admits it has become increasingly difficult to come up with different things for people to get on with.
"The Jobs for the Weekend items, I know they are very popular but they are the bane of my life," Monty said.
"I long to say 'Jobs for the Weekend? Do what you like, I don't care!'.
