Shocking book lifts lid on notorious jail and how country's worst killers behave

DEPRAVED serial killer Levi Bellfield had sex with a prison officer inside a high security jail that holds some of the most dangerous criminals in the country, a book claims.

Milly Dowler's murderer confessed all to a female pen pal about the woman, who also bedded several other serious criminals in HMP Wakefield, known as "Monster Mansion".

The jail has also housed Soham child killer Ian Huntley, Britain's most prolific serial killer Harold Shipman and Charles Bronson, the country's longest serving prisoner.

The book charts the notorious prison's history and inmates, and was written following interviews with prison staff, experts, journalists, former inmates and prisoner pen pals, including an unnamed woman who wrote to Bellfield and others behind bars.

Bellfield, 56, is serving two whole life orders for killing 13-year-old Milly, Marsha McDonnell, 19, and Amelie Delagrange, 22, as well as the attempted murder of Kate Sheedy.
