Miliband: I'll fight those who want to rip up green future

ED MILIBAND says the Government will fight opponents of his clean energy revolution “all the way” as he pursues Britain’s net zero future.

The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero blasted “siren voices who want to rip up clean energy projects” and vowed Labour would be “relentless in our pursuit of bringing down bills for good”.

He promised this will mean the country can “get off our dependence on fossil fuel markets controlled by dictators”.

Mr Miliband claimed “fossil fuel shocks have caused half of Britain’s recessions since 1970” and the UK must “never again be left exposed to the rollercoaster of global gas markets over which we have no control”.

Nearly all of Britain’s electricity will come from low-carbon sources by 2030 under his plans.
