Friends reunite for awards tribute to tragic star Perry

THE cast of Friends is set to reunite tomorrow to pay tribute to tragic co-star Matthew Perry at Hollywood’s glittering Emmy Awards.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer will deliver their final poignant, public goodbye to the comedy icon during the live TV show.
It is thought likely they will also accept a special lifetime achievement award on behalf of their late pal, who was nominated five times for an Emmy between 2002 and 2021 but never won.
Jesse Collins, the show’s executive producer, said: “Matthew Perry’s passing was a tremendous loss for us. We are working to create a moment that shines a light on him.”
