Forensics hunt for remains goes on but brother fears new disappointment

POLICE forensics teams were still on Saddleworth Moor last night as the grim search for Keith Bennett went on.

Schoolboy Keith was lured away by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley on June 16, 1964. But his body has never been found despite numerous searches of the bleak moorland in the Peak District.

The police team, assisted by firefighters, continued to search the remote location yesterday, where two square blue tents had been erected.

The new search for the 12-year-old’s remains began on Friday morning after author Russell Edwards, who has spent years trying to locate the body, told police that a team of experts he had brought together believed they had unearthed a human jaw bone.
