Enough is enough ...let's end factory farm cruelty now

I HAVE always thought it’s much more important what you put into your mouth, rather than what comes out of it. Two years ago I was alarmed to find out a food I thought was essential to health and well- being, Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon, was, in fact, the opposite.

Enough is enough ...let's end factory farm cruelty now

I have been very lucky in my life, and I think it is important to give back.

I’ve always loved animals, I have two adorable cats and believe it’s key to stand up for injustice, especially for those who have no voice.

Whether it’s speaking out about the “torture in a tin” that is foie gras, about toxic farmed salmon, greyhound racing or the awful abuse of factory farmed animals, I believe all species deserve respect, kindness and compassion.

I don’t mince my words and I believe everyone should know the truth. But these days, it’s hard to determine the truth.

Twelve years ago, I was proud to become a Visionary for the global farm animal charity, Compassion In World Farming.

Their aim is to end the cruelty involved in the factory farming of billions of sentient animals.

Animals like pigs, chickens, rabbits, cows and more besides, that live short lives cruelly confined, caged and exploited. wicked.

A staggering two out of every three farmed animals in the world — 50 billion animals a year — are now factory farmed. It’s an eye watering number that’s hard to imagine, and their plight is hidden behind closed doors.
