THERE was relief for 14,500 households in Devon yesterday when South West Water finally lifted instructions to boil water - but the misery continues for 2,500 others who will have to keep using kettles.
Local MP Anthony Mangnall warned "heads are going to roll" following a parasite outbreak that left scores in Brixham ill after mains were contaminated with animal waste.
So far 46 cases of cryptosporidium caused by a tiny parasite that can lead to vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhoea lasting about two weeks are confirmed.
But health officials are expecting more cases due to a delay in symptoms.
