YOUNGSTERS who will miss out on sharing Christmas with parents serving overseas in the Armed Forces are to receive one of 2,500 gift boxes from a military children's charity.
Packed with treats and goodies including hot chocolate and Santa hats, the packages were put together by soldiers and pupils in Bovington, Dorset.
The exercise was organised by the Little Troopers charity as part of its Christmas Smiles campaign, which benefits children of those serving King and Country abroad.
